11. Suppose, you are Fahim/ Fahmida, a student of class X of R.K.Govt. High School, Mymensingh. The students of your class want to go on a study tour at Jufflong in Sylhet. So, you need permission of your Headmaster. Now write an application to the Headmaster of your school seeking permission to go on the study tour.10

12. Write down the summary of the following passage. Give a suitable title to it: 10

Education is the process by which our mind develops through formal learning at an institution like a school, college or University. It is mental and intellecual training which provides opportunities of growth and helps to overcome obstacles to progress. Again, the purpose of education is to enlighten the individual and develop his/ her capacity to the limit. It is also the business of education to train individuals to make the right choices to go ahead. It ennobles our mind and refines our sensibility. It also broadens our out look and helps us become aware of our rights and responsibilities.

There is a student whose name is Anamika. She wants to be a teacher. Mr. Jabbar, her father wants to make her a doctor. Now, write a dialogue between Anamika and Mr. Jabbar regarding Anamika's future plan.

13. Read the beginning of the following story and complete it in your own way. Give a suitable title: 15

Nurul Huda is a poor rickshaw puller in Dhaka. He drives his rickshaw to different areas of the city. One day he saw some men selling lottery tickets enticing the passers by. Nurul Huda felt tempted and bougth a ticket. He knew the date of the draw. He was waiting eagerly for the day. At last the much awaited day come and he purchased a daily newspaper...................................... .
